Laura Winn Kane 
    Laura Winn Kane is originally from Liverpool, NY - a suburb of Syracuse. She holds a BA in
 Drawing and Painting from the SUNY College at Plattsburgh, NY and a MFA in Painting from
 Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. The artist currently maintains a studio in
 Port Matilda, PA.
    The bulk of her work involves representational oil and pastel paintings of still-life themes .
 The artist works from life as she finds this method invigorating in both its immediacy and
 intimacy. She enjoys investigating the relationships between individual subjects and their
 surroundings - sometimes emphasizing the equal importance of these components.
    Laura's work has been shown and won awards nationally and is held in private collections
