Mural Artist Assistants Needed 
                                         For Community Mural Project
                                                   
in Millheim, PA

 Benefits of this Assistantship include:
    -Learn mural techniques using modern technology
    -Work with community members in a meaningful service project
    -Be apprentice to Elody Gyekis, an experienced mural artist trained by the Philadelphia
         Mural Arts Program who has organized and painted three murals in inner-
city Harrisburg

 Looking for dedicated individuals with some artistic experience to work on the project for
 approximately ten weeks over the Summer 2008 starting in June. Responsibilities would
 include learning the mural preparation techniques and helping to organize volunteer painting
 participants. 20 to 30 hours a week depending on number of assistants. This 30’ by 15’ public
 art piece will be completed using the Philadelphia Mural Art method to prepare panels for
 other community members to help paint.
